NestScore helps people find places to live in Canadian cities. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it short, plain, and accurate.

1. Who we are

NestScore is a Toronto-based service that scores rental listings against the things you tell us matter to you. In this policy, "NestScore," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the site at nestscore.ca. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can email us at hello@nestscore.ca.

3. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or to build profiles for advertisers.

4. Google user data

When you choose to sign in with Google, we receive a limited set of information from your Google account: your name, email address, profile picture URL, and a Google-issued user identifier. NestScore's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

You can revoke NestScore's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account's Third-party apps with account access page.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only in these limited cases:

6. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we need to keep it longer for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons. Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics.

7. Your choices and rights

If you live in a jurisdiction with additional privacy rights (such as Quebec, the EU, or California), you can exercise those rights by emailing us at privacy@nestscore.ca.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and routine review of our service providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep risks low and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

9. Children

NestScore isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please email privacy@nestscore.ca and we'll delete it.

10. International users

NestScore is operated from Canada. If you use NestScore from outside Canada, your information will be transferred to and processed in Canada and other countries where our third-party service providers may operate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top, and for material changes we'll provide a more prominent notice (such as an in-app banner or an email asking for your acknowledgement).

12. Contact

Questions, requests, or complaints about this policy or your data can be sent to hello@nestscore.ca.
