Terms of use

Last updated: June 27, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and NestScore for your use of our website and services. By using NestScore, you agree to them. We've kept them short and plain.

1. Who we are

NestScore is a Toronto-based web service that scores rental listings against the things you tell us matter to you. In these terms, "NestScore," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the site at nestscore.ca. "You" means anyone who uses the service. If you have questions about these terms, email us at hello@nestscore.ca.

2. What NestScore is and isn't

NestScore is an informational tool only. We collect publicly available rental listings, score them against neighbourhood and lifestyle signals you choose, and help you compare them. A NestScore is our estimate, generated from data that can be incomplete or out of date. The methodology that the NestScore algorithm uses is publicly available on this site. The score is not a guarantee, an appraisal, or a recommendation to rent any particular place.

NestScore is not itself a real-estate brokerage, landlord, property manager, or a financial, legal, or tax advisor. Nothing on the site is or should be construed as professional or legal advice. Always confirm the details that matter to you directly with the listing's source and the landlord or agent before making any decision or payment.

3. Listings and third-party content

Listings shown on NestScore originate from third-party sources, and selecting a listing sends you to that source's own website to view and act on it. We don't own, control, host, or verify those listings or sites, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, pricing, or practices. Listing details may be inaccurate, outdated, or removed at any time.

4. Your account

5. NestScore Pro

NestScore offers a free tier and paid one-time passes ("NestScore Pro" and "NestScore Pro+"). Passes are a single charge that unlock Pro features for a fixed window (for example, 60 or 90 days). They are not subscriptions: there is no recurring billing, and access simply ends when the pass expires. Both passes may be bought for subsequent 60- or 90-day periods after they expire.

6. Acceptable use

When using NestScore, you agree not to:

7. Intellectual property

The NestScore name, logo, design, scoring methodology, and the content we create are owned by NestScore and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your own non-commercial purposes, subject to these terms. Listing data remains the property of its respective sources.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scores or listing data will be accurate, complete, or current.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NestScore will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on scores, listings, or other information on the service, or from your dealings with any third-party listing source, landlord, or agent. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes

We may update the service and these terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Your continued use of NestScore after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Ontario will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
